Careful configuration of the body and paint choices allows it to stand out from respect, not crazy.Opening the hood reveals an LQ9 6.0L 430hp crate V-8 engine, best known as the proven LS architecture that provides robust performance.  This example has a Holley Sniper intake manifold with a custom painted to match intake tube, 4-core aluminum radiator, custom dual exhausts fed by Hooker cast LS headers exiting from the rear quarter panels in the rear.  It is coupled with a new 4L60E automatic transmission and backed up with a fitted 9-inch Ford Racing rear end with 3.73 gears. Suspension upgrades are the TCI Mustang II front suspension, rear TCI 4-link arrangement, and an airbag suspension using Airlift air management system. The exterior is finished a rich gunmetal gray with the stamped Chevrolet name highlighted on the tailgate, a custom polished grille surround and wooden bed slats. Inside, one finds beautiful Sew Cal Rods custom red upholstery using a bench seat blended in with a custom-matched center console, dash and door panels with power windows. Details include a floor shifter, Ididit steering column with custom-matched Billet specialty steering wheel, Dakota digital gauge cluster, Alpine stereo with Bluetooth capability and mutli-speaker layout behind the seating, a Custom Resto Mod air conditioning system, new glass and weather stripping, and finally an American Autowire wiring harness installed to keep it seamless. Using low-profile modern tires and staggered Vintage Intro wheels, 20×8 front and 22×12-inch rear, showing just the right amount of shine for the body color to allow this pickup to remain in style even after so many decades have passed.
