1964 Ford AC Cobra Replica with Ford 427 FE Crossbolt Side-Oiler

This is a 1964 AC Cobra replica by Everett-Morrison, with a Ford FE 427 Crossbolt Side-Oiler engine and Tremec 5-speed. Engine has two 4bbl Holley carburetors and MSD ignition, new radiator and new oil cooler. Frame is a full 4in tube frame. Rear end is a Ford 9in modular. Front suspension with rack and pinion is Mustang II, rear suspension is custom coilovers. 4-wheel disc brakes. Wheels are bolt-on Hildebrandt-style with cosmetic knock-offs. Body was originally Daytona blue with white stripes. Had some fiberglass damage to nose and front left fender, so during that repair we decided to do a full repaint using British Racing Green with Lotus yellow stripes, as homage to the AC’s English heritage. This is not a show car but it’s in good driving condition, ready to scare a new driver to death. The 427 fires up without trouble and runs strong, and the Tremec shifts great. There are a lot of Cobra replicas out there, but few with the real, historic Ford 427 crossbolt side-oiler. This is not a late-model Roush 427, it’s the real deal old Ford engine. This car needs to go to a younger, more experienced driver who can handle this kind of power and speed.
