1968 Galaxie 500XL Fastback. READ THIS FIRST. Picked it up from a tow company so it comes with lien paperwork and bills of sale not a paper title.
Alternator has been converted to a 130 amp internally regulated later model (3G) unit with the proper fuses and grounds. Moon Eyes tach and 3 gauge kit. Haven’t hooked up the illumination wires, planned to remove the dash and clean up the gauge cluster etc and get all the lights and stuff working again tuck wires for the new gauges and haven’t got to it yet.
Does come with the missing Galaxie 500 emblem for the quarter panel, a new trunk seal (not installed) and the front wheel well trim. Missing the fender trim and the rocker panel trim. Shifter is feeling a bit loose but that appears to be due to the roll pin that holds the arm to the column being worn out.
Haven’t been able to get the front left signal to work either. All others do work. Drives good and straight routinely drive it 80 miles round trip to work.
