1971 Volkswagen Beetle – Classic

Selling my father’s 1971 VW Beetle convertible after his recent passing.  He purchased it in 2014 from a gentleman in Arizona and enjoyed it a few hundred kilometers a year during the summer/fall months in Wisconsin.  It is in all around good, drivable condition – not a museum piece but is far from being considered a “project”.  It has been repainted and it has some cosmetic marks here and there, captured best as possible in the 150+ photos – but all around very presentable shape and condition. The fluids changed each season and a fresh battery (sealed Interstate brand) was installed last fall – tires have good tread on them and all around ready for a driver to continue enjoying.  Most recently a new fuel pump was installed along with appropriate gaskets – it starts immediately and shifts through all gears smoothly.  The top is functional but aesthetically aged – so one could consider replacing if they wish, or enjoying as is — we hardly ever used it considering it is enjoyed so much nicer without it.  I have videos I can also send to interested parties of how it runs. Here is a link to photos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Y8GojglZgVmXEMdix1wUHrSnVduko7uS?usp=sharingThe undercarriage is in extremely clean condition, and he spent a long time searching for one that could be drive and enjoyed – but without any rust in the undercarriage to fight.  These are notoriously well known for rusting through – this one is VERY clean underneath and I tried to capture this as best as possible when it was last at the shop for an oil change and new fuel pump.  It has a radio/speaker setup (aftermarket) mounted, which can be easily taken out if someone doesn’t wish to have this in the center console.  It has a clean Wisconsin title and is ready for the next person to continue enjoyment of it like we did over the years.
