08 differential Deluxe wheel covers and side mirror In 1997 the GTO was repainted in its original Starlight Black livery by Cunningham Auto Body in Independence, MO. It has very nice luster and gloss and still has some residual orange peel making it look factory correct. There are several small areas where there are light scratches and some chips that have been touched up.

Every component of the engine was bought new using the original correct block. It was then upgraded to a true 1964 tri-power (with correct Rochester 2 Jet carburetors” from its original four-barrel carburetor giving it (360 hp). Based on the paperwork in the file, the engine would have accumulated about 48,000 miles since the rebuild.

Huffman and his wife used the GTO regularly as a fair-weather driver (using it as their convertible). Since about 2009, this GTO has had limited use solely as a collector car. In the past 20 years it has averaged about 100 miles per year.
