1940 FORD DELUXE CONVERTIBLE STREET ROD This 1940 Ford Convertible was California car until several weeks ago. It was owned by the same family since 1973 (45 years). It’s a very sound, straight, rust free car with very shiny but older bright red paint.
The top irons and bows look to be complete (but no fabric top), including the vacuum actuators to raise and lower the top are all there. A generous sized box of new (Bob Drake, etc) and used parts go along with the car. I bought it on E-Bay about a month ago, had it shipped from San Diego, CA to Wilmington, DE in a closed car carrier.
06 PST, seller added the following information: I HAD SOME QUSTIONS ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE FLOORS – WHAT I’VE SEEN, THESE IS NO RUST OR PATCHES SEVERAL OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE FRAME – SOLID, RAILS IN PAINT AND SOME AREAS OILY, SEVERAL OVAL FACTORY CUTOUTS HAVE BEEN ENLARGED TO ACCOMMODATE THE EXHAUST, BUT NEATLY DONE.
