It’s time to pass the baton. We have been caretakers of this ’65 for 37 years. What a run of enjoyment we’ve had with her.
Click on this link for a front to back video of her taken May 25, 2018: https://www.
The heads are ‘461’s that were “breathed”on and flow almost as good as AFR’s (have the flow sheet). These were professionally worked on by Jeff Kobieski (RIP) of Modern Cylinder Head fame in Clinton Township. Replaced the factory 30 lb flywheel with the GM nodular iron 15 lb flywheel.
This motor has Sealed Power forged pistons, factory rods, factory forged crank, the same solid lifter LT-1 camshaft as what’s in the car now, factory flywheel, factory timing cover, 8″ balancer and windage tray. I rotate and oil her up regularly. The original Muncie, wide ratio (M20) with 1 rebuild on my watch.
